French Language Center
French Language Center was established in Julyš2008 as the result of joining the partner universities network of the French Embassy in Russia. The corresponding agreement was signed on Aprilš10, 2007. The Center aims to expand the university's efforts in popularizing the French language and French speaking countries culture in the Orenburg region.
The Center conducts multifaceted activities: French and Spanish courses for students with different learning goals and language proficiency level; training seminars and cultural events organization; establishing contacts with French educational institutions; cooperation with French diplomatic and public organizations, promoting students, teachers and researchers exchange; interpreting and translation; consulting activities.
One of the priority tasks is to prepare the candidates and to administer the following international examinations: DELF (Diploma in French Language Studies), DALF (Diploma in Advanced French Language Studies), DELF junior (Diploma in French Language Studies for teenagers).
French Language Center is the only center in the Orenburg region accredited by the French Embassy in Russia to set these exams.
The teaching staff at the Center is represented by both leading OSU teachers and educators from France, Spain and Costa Ricaš— Lorient Chenelle, Dominique Cadiet, Hélène Mosquet, Héloïse Marmouset, Alberto Sanchez, Mario Salazar, Sandrine Mylène Paulin, MarÓ Abyad.
The Center cooperates with the French Embassy in Russia, with the Alliance Française de Samara and Campus Franceš— information and activities center for people associated with France or interested in its culture and art, as well as with other Russian and French institutions like “Bonjour de France” Association and Azurlingua Language School (Nice).
Another important aspect of the Center's activity is organization and assistance in holding cultural events, such as Romance Languages Festival, Annual French Film Festival, French Animated Films Festival, and Francophone Theaters.
The Center annually holds the Day of Higher Education in France. It is a great opportunity to discuss the issues in choosing programs to study at French universities, to hold consultations on documents submission and admission requirements to French universities.
