Students’ Center
The Student Center includes different student and faculty groups such as the Palace of Culture "Russia", the Students’ Club, the Faculty of Public Professions, and the Club of the Merry and Quick-witted.
The Student Center at OSU houses 25šcultural and interest societies, as well as, 12šdepartments from the Faculty of Public Professions. At the center, more than 2,000špeople develop their creative skills, hobbies, and talents. The enrollment for participation in the societies begins in either late August or early September. During the academic year each society then has its own timetable.
The Center’s societies include:
- Belly Dance ensemble "Vostok" ("The East")
- Indian dance ensemble "Sarasvaty"
- The ensemble of modern choreography "Eniye" ("Others")
- Sports and ballroom dancing ensemble "Viktoria" ("Victory")
- The vocal group "EksCourse"
- The ensemble of variety of dances "Zhemchuzhinka" ("Pearl")
- The Club of the Merry and Quick-witted "Center"
- Break dance group "Mad Elefans" ("Mad Elephants")
- An R&B group
- The fashion theatre "Crystal"
- Student choir
- The circus on stage group "Antre" ("Entrée")
- A pop group
- The vocal group "The Concertino"
- A string ensemble
- The vocal group "The Veteran"
All these groups are widely popular and many are prize-winners and laureates of various contests and competitions!
