The magazine "Vestnik of OSU" is a printing body of SEI OSU (State Educational Institution Orenburg State University). It is created on the basis of the Academic Council's decision of SEI HVE (State Educational Institution High Vocational Education) "The Orenburg State University" (the protocol № 8 from 25.12.98). The purpose of activity of "Vestnik of OSU" is a formation of the scientific and informational environment and distribution of the information on scientific development and the researches made by scientists of the SEI OSU, scientists and experts cooperating with the SEI OSU in the territory of Russia, the countries of the CIS and distant foreign countries, and also formation around of the magazine of scientific schools and directions.

The founder of the magazine is SEI HVE "The Orenburg State University".

The registration certificate PI № 77-9161 is given on May, 31, 2001, by the Ministry of the Russian Federation on affairs of seal, telebroadcasting and means of mass communications.

The magazine "Vesntik of OSU" is included in the list of the periodic scientific and scientific and technical editions, which are let out in the Russian Federation in which the publication of the basic results of dissertations on competition of a scientific degree of the Doctor of Sciences is recommended. ("Vesntik HCC ME of the Russian Federation" (High Certifying Commission of the Ministry of Education) № 1, 2002).

"Vestnik of OSU" in the activity is guided by the legislation of the Russian Federation, standard acts of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

Functions of the magazine "Vestnik of OSU" are: gathering, the analysis and distribution of the scientific information, assistance to the statement of unity and the consent, universal values, stabilization of sociopolitical and economic conditions, democracy, humanism, freedom of speech and human rights.

The task of the magazine "Vestnik of OSU" is: the release of the magazine and the realization of an information work.

Results of original researches of scientists are published in the scientific magazine "Vestnik of OSU". The quality of published articles is supervised by the editorial board which structure includes conducting scientists of SEI OSU, other high schools of Russia and foreign countries.
