An aerodynamic tunnel, designed by staff of Flight Vehicles Chair was installed in academic buildingš№š9 of OSU Aerospace Institute.

The wind tunnel — is an installation that creates air or gas stream for experimental works aimed to study flow round a body phenomena. The aerodynamic tunnel makes possible to: determine flight vehicle energy at large and its parts; to examine stability, controllability and optimum shape of aircraft; to estimate wind effect. The wind tunnel will be subject of Dmitriy Rulev`s master thesis. OSU students can conduct laboratory and research works by means of this installation.

The real value of such wind tunnel is 1,5šmillion rubles. OSU paid only 100š000šrubles for this construction due to longstanding cooperation between PO "Strela" and Aerospace Institute.
