Best Woman of Orenburg Region Works in OSU

The winners awarding ceremony of regional competition “Woman of Orenburg Region” took place in “Gazovik” Culture and Sport Center on the 6^th of March. Alla Vasilchenko, associate professor of OSU Drawing and Painting Department, member of Russia Artist Union is one of the winners.

Totally 91 applications were submitted for competition, but only 8 became winners.

The representatives of Government and Regional Legislative Assembly, directors of social organizations came to congratulate laureates. The governor of Orenburg region Yuriy Berg said his opinion to women. He noted more than half of Orenburg region population is women (53,5 %) and neither political, or cultural and public life doesn't succeed without their active participation. He wished happiness, health and welfare to all women of Orenburg region. Every woman received a graceful bouquet of yellow tulips as a gift from Governor and Region Government. The ceremony winners got money and gold brooches in the form of woman with flowers.

Alla Vasilchenko is awarded in "Respect" nomination for active social work and high achievements in the field of art creativity. She is innovative artist — author of original netting craft. Her works are known not only in Orenburg region, but across Russia.
