The associate professor of OSU Drawing and Painting Department Alla Vasilchenko received a badge to the title "Honored Artist of Russian Federation" from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The awarding ceremony of outstanding cultural and art figures took place on May 28 in Kremlin residence of Russian Federation President.

Alla Vasilchenko is creating art professionally since 1959 and has a lot of merits. In 1993–1998 she managed Orenburg department of Russian Artist Union. In 2005 Alla became the award winner of Orenburg region Governor "Orenburg Lyre" competition for creative achievements and personal exhibition. In 2008 she took the first place in exhibition-competition "Orenburg and Natives of Orenburg" devoted to 265^th anniversary of the city. At the end of 2013 Alla successfully graduated her Ph.D. in Moscow State Art and Industrial Academy named after S.G. Stroganov and became the prizewinner of "Woman of Orenburg Region" award.

Recently Alla Aleksandrovna was awarded the title "Honored Artist of Russian Federation". Handing of badge and certificate on awarding ceremony in Kremlin was surprise for her.
