On Main Russian Holiday

On the 12^th of June OSU employees, students and creative teams took part in traditional procession in honor of Russian Federation Day.

The column passed from Soviets House to Ural River embankment. The students of Orenburg universities carried a huge flag of Russia. About five thousand citizens participated in the procession among them were government members and heads of national Orenburg communities.

The representatives of Orenburg nationalities welcomed people in column along the main Orenburg street. They met people with national songs, dances and musical instruments, served traditional dishes of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Bashkortostan and other nations.

Then there was a meeting on Ural embankment. Temporary acting governor of Orenburg Region Yuriy Berg congratulated citizens with Russian Federation Day. The holiday concert for citizens took place after the meeting, where the best Orenburg creative teams appeared including representatives of OSU Students Center "Russia".
