RFFR Grant — Aleksey Sizentsov!

The project of OSU scientist got support of Russian Foundation for Fundamental Research (RFBR).

OSU associate professor of microbiology Aleksey Sizentsov took part in competition of young scientists’ projects and was among winners — grant recipients according to competitions’ results. The topic of Aleksey paper is — "Adaptogene potential of new lactobacillus probiotic strains". OSU scientist paid attention to ability of some lactic microorganisms to connect and take heavy metals out of human body. According to Aleksey Sizentsov, this property can essentially increase body resistance to harmful environment effects. Besides, some lactobacillus species are able to raise nutrient availability of microelements, such as ferrum, copper, zinc and other that also increases person’s immunity in whole.

The grant will allow the project manager to invite a young scientist from other Russian university as the colleague-performer.
