Scientists of Orenburg State University were awarded grants for projects’ realization from Russian Humanitarian Scientific Fund.

Valeriy Popov, Associate Professor of Customs Department (OSU Faculty of Economics and Finances) got victory the federal special competition for young researchers’ support. Valeriy and his team developed the complex method of statistical evaluation how structure of foreign-trade goods traffic influences the development of Russian economic potential in circumstances of World Trade Organization and the Customs Union. According to the scientist the significance of this exploration was increased after West economic sanctions against Russian Federation.

— Our project is cross-disciplinary and involves not one, but several fields of study: statistics and foreign trade, customs and economic integration, some certain political aspects,š— Valeriy Popov says.š— We hope that our methods of statistical evaluation for the Russian economic potential will provide the reasonable management decisions in the sphere of foreign trade as well as increase of scientific knowledge in appropriate fields of economic science.

Members of OSU Scientific Research Institute for History and Ethnography of the Southern Ural won the regional competition of Russian Humanitarian Scientific Fund. According to Venaliy Amelinš— Institute’s Director, the two-year research was finished by support of the Fund and Orenburg Regional Governmentš— 23šreligious confessions of the Southern Urals were studied. As a result a fundamental multivolume reference book was issued. A new project is dedicated to the study of everyday life and culture of 18šnationalities widespread in Orenburg region. Both projects will be finished inš2016.
