Aleksey Derre — lecturer of German Academic Exchange Service DAAD visited OSU and represented scholarship programs for students, further carried out language test and master class for future interpreters.

The lecturer explained that bachelors should choose three training courses on DAAD web-site and write motivation letter, where they should answer some questions about preferences in language study and plans for the future. Master’s students have to organize a program without any help: choose three training courses, get in contact with university and obtain study agreement.

After the presentation Aleksey carried out OnDaF language test and provided master-class for students of "Practice and Theory of Translation" program. The guest showed them sequence of pre-translational text analysis. All information statements ussualy have the same structure — event at first, its source, numbers or facts and results in conclusion. Any interpreter implementing this structure can simplify a text and reduce work time.
