The scientists offered to use geo-informational technologies using data from the Earth space survey that covers not only large territories but local objects.

Described in research application methods of this data allow conducting cartographical analysis of explored territory, comparing automated classification’s results of asynchronical space images and finally forecasting landscape process of steppe sites.

Obtained results will help in determining territories where negative changes have resulted in nonrecoverable loss of natural soils and in developing of a strategy for protection of steppe landscape’s remaining sites.
