Examination of Goethe Institute

Examination of Goethe Institute took place in OSU for the first time. Students, pupils, people of all ages and professions had an opportunity to confirm knowledge of German with certificate of international level.

Cultural Institute of Germany Federative Republic supports many Centers of German language in Russia, offering German language learning courses and examinations on the basis of uniform international standards. Representatives of such center in Samara visited Orenburg in early March.

30 people sent applications for participation in Goethe Institute Examination. Orenburg pupils passed A1 and A2 levels, adults — A1 and B1 levels. Test results were known on the same day.

Staff of Samara German Language Center Vasiliy Nikitin and Ekaterina Bespalova together with lecturers of Orenburg State University conducted the exam. Vasiliy Nikitin noted that there is a good base for development of German language in Orenburg. Therefore, 169 students passed successfully DSH examination (which is required, generally, for university enrolment) during cooperation between OSU and Ludwig-Maximilian University. Therefore, OSU lecturers can conduct this exam independently after license receiving from Goethe Institute.
