OSU student of Philology and Journalism Facultyš— Darya Gakhokiya took the 1st place in the 13th Open Eurasian Competition for the Best Literary Translation (EURASIAN OPEN 2016) in "French Language" nomination.

The competition was carried out in three steps on seven nominations. The jury explored and estimated about five hundred works not only from Russia, but also from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Israel, Germany, Great Britain, France and Italy.

Darya professionally translated a fragment of Joseph Kessel’s writingš— Led nuits de Siberie ("Siberian nights") and poem of Jacques Chessex.
