The researcher studied the operation conditions of exploration drill pipes designed for a high-performance drilling with a retrievable core receiver and identified problems of imported goods adaptation. Yelena Priymak has founded some possible options to replace foreign products with domestic cold-finished pipes, tested their structure and charecteristics and set fundamentally new heat treatment conditions for tool joints and welding joints to ensure structural capability.

Upon the implementation of import substitution goods, the drill pipe prime cost decreased by 45%, and the sales volume of output increased by 40%.
