Visit of the RF State Duma deputies to OSU: meeting with its students and educators

Vladimir Shamanov, Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee of the Russian Federation, Hero of the Russian Federation, Colonel General and Yury Mishcheryakov, State Duma deputy paid a visit to OSU as a part of their visit to the Orenburg region.

The guests’ visit began with a meeting with the university Rector Zhanna Ermakova, who introduced the guests to the main educational and scientific activities at the largest university in the region.

The deputies’ dialogue with the university community continued at OSU Scientific Library conference hall, that gathered more than 200 teachers and students. Vladimir Shamanov told the audience about the main trends of foreign policy, in which he takes part as Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee of the Russian Federation: regulating the relations in Syria, restoring air communication with Egypt, normalizing the situation in the Crimea.

The visit of Vladimir Shamanov, State Duma deputy, Hero of the Russian Federation to OSU continued with a meeting with OSU students’ activists, and ended with a meeting with the teachers of the Aerospace Institute (AI), which trains personnel for the country’s military-industrial complex.
