Last weekend OSU educators and staff members and students participated in the bike ride “Eurasia: 50 day before start”.
The event was dedicated to the International Forum “Eurasia” that is scheduled for September 4–10. Vera Basirova, Vice-Governor of the Orenburg region, Vice-Chairman of the Orenburg region Government for Internal Affairs headed the ride. Every participant got a wooden Eurasia pin and a white paper pigeon, a symbol of peace. At the final point of the ride the participants placed their pigeons on the fir trees that had been planted by the members of the I International Youth Forum “Eurasia-2016”.
This year Orenburg State University will take part in the exhibition of Russian universities in the mall “Armada”. In the park next to Yuri Gagarin monument OSU students will present an interactive presentation “True pages of history” when one can learn many new and interesting facts about the first spaceman and cosmonautics. Students will offer the audience to puzzle “Rocket Eurasia” for 108 sec. The number of puzzle pieces is 108, an analogy to 108 minutes Yuri Gagarin spent in space. The crowining of the event will be a flashmob “Look up to Gagarin” and launching 108 lighted up baloons.
