Guests from Belarus are meeting OSU

On December 6 Orenburg State University welcomed visitors from Belarus: Vyacheslav Mirusin, Vice-Chairman of “Bellegprom” and Vladimir Privalov, Vice-Chairman of the Gomel region Administration.

The guests came to the university together with Julia Yakusheva from the Presidential Administration of Russia and Grigory Zakharov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Processing Industry of the Orenburg region.

Svetlana Pankova, OSU acting rector introduced the visitors to the milestones of the university’s history and its present status.

Eduard Yasakov, Direcor of International Cooperation Department briefed the guests on the university’s international activities and its partners. Three of the 60 are in Belarus: Belarusian National Technical University, Baranovichi State University and Polotsk State University. The agreement with the last two were signed with the assistance of Petr Baltrukovich, Head of the Embassy Branch Office of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation in Ufa who payed a visit to our university last year. Now partners participate in joint conferences, Olympiads and other events organized by the Ministry of Information of Belarus. Since October the universities have been developing a virtual mobility — a series of on-line lectures given by scientists from the two countries.
