Eurasia Week of Management in OSU: Olympiads, round tables and business workshops

Orenburg State University holds the Eurasia Week of Management. It started with the Olympiad in Management with 22 teams from 9 universities in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Using the Skype teams from Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Sevastopol, Petropavlovsk (Kazakhstan), Novopolotsk (Belarus) and other cities. Students introduced themselves and discussed common vital issues: how to communicate with employers and how to find internship and job placements.

Elena Faiman, Chief Editor of “Orenburg Week” gave a seminar on team and project work. The participants learnt to set goals and tasks, to choose the right people for a job and to cooperate efficiently.

Another bright event of the week was an Olympiad for over 100 high school students “The job of a manager”. Oleg Avdeev, President of the Orenburg region Chamber of Commerce and Industry, presented the winners with diplomas on the round table “The image of an in-demand manger”. The round table collected executives of leading Orenburg companies who shared their image of a modern manager: a professional who has a gift to work with people and information, able to work under pressure and to set goals.
