OSU graduate Elena Sjödin established a firm on robotics in Sweden

Elena Sjödin (Dobychina) was born in Orenburg. She graduated from the high school # 76 and entered OSU Faculty of Economics in 2002. While studying, she got «good» and «excellent» grades. Elena joined OSU Sertoma Club and visited the USA as its member.

As a senior student Elena enrolled into a double-diploma program and studied in Denmark. She had an internship there, and then she got an invitation to work in one of the European firms. In autumn 2009, she moved to Sweden. In an international company, she was responsible for the cooperation activities with Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic States and Finland. Later she was promoted to Director of Marketing and Products to manage strategic decisions about bringing products to markets around the world, pricing, and Sjödin the marketing campaign.

1,5 year ago Elena finally decided to open her own international company in Sweden. It specializes in innovative products — robotics.

— It would be very interesting to provide some opportunities for current OSU students as one always feels the need to contribute to an alma-mater. I believe strongly that to achieve something in life, you need to be persistent and goal-oriented. We must go forward, no matter what happens. Everyone gets a chance to make his or her life interesting.
