Orenburg State University and Chamber of Commerce and Industry: cooperation start

In early October 2012, Rector of the OSU Vladimir Kovalevskiy and President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Orenburg region Viktor Sytezhev signed a cooperation agreement.

The document spells out items relating to the conduct of joint conferences, round tables. In addition, the agreement gives an opportunity for business representatives as potential employers to participate in correcting of university educational programs and to make applications for training of graduates of certain specialties.

This event happened during the Chamber of Commerce and Industry extended management board where the actual goals of modernization of Orenburg region economy were discussed.

Vice-governor — government deputy chairman of Orenburg region on financial and economic policy Natalya Levinson, members of management board of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, of the Public Chamber, deputies of City Council and Legislative Assembly of region, professors and students of Orenburg State University and of others higher educational institutions have arrived in the conference room of Orenburg State University research library.

Rector of the OSU Vladimir Kovalevskiy welcomed the participants. He mentioned that changes including the economy have the different expressions: appearance of new technologies in industry, in communication systems, appearance of new scientific conceptions of development of economy’s different branches. Our common goal is to determine the significant trends and to initiate the more perspective and valuable transformations of region’s economy.

According to Viktor Sytezhev the interaction of the main subjects of modernization — authority, business, science and civil society — has an episodic and systemless nature. A qualitative new development of region can be provided only by the condition of its balanced relationships. It was the main idea of all reports.
