OSU has accepted representatives of Muslim clergy, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Prosecutor's Office and Public Organizations for dialogue at the round table "Youth Extremism: Prevention and Countermeasure".

Venaliy Amelinš— Director of OSU Scientific Research Institute of South Ural History and Ethnography opened the meeting.

— It is no secret that youth is one of the most attractive social groups for extremism. According to evaluation of some political scientists, it is more than 100 youth extremist organizations in Russia,š— Venaliy Vladimirovich noted.

The acting Head of Department of Federal Safety Supervision, International Relations, countermeasures to extremism and terrorism of Orenburg region Prosecutor's Office Olga Tisen began with the subject of terrorism creating evil not only in Syria, but also worldwide. She urged people to use term DAISH for terrorist group forbidden in Russian Federation which is actively used in mass media now, but not Islamic State because the second one creates wrong representation about this sacred religion.

Federal Agencies, Center for Extremism Countermeasures by Russia DMIA in Orenburg region control social networks continuously. And if the page of young man contains forbidden, qualified as extremist, informationš— he will have criminal responsibility for it. Representative of Prosecutor’s Office told about fascist swastika, its variations and usage during World War II. Deputy Head of Center for Extremism Countermeasures by Russia DMIA in Orenburg region Lieutenant Colonel Artem Bekeev told about dangers which face Orenburg and region at large.

Mufti of Orenburg region Muslims Spiritual Administration Alfit Sharipov told how religious organizations work against extremism expansion, keep youth from joining to radical communities.

Head of Orenburg region National Youth Public Associations Ekaterina Rakova and OSU students discussed also preventive measures of extremism, features of its display among young people.

Round-table meeting on the topic “Extremism Countermeasures” took place in OSU Kumertau branch the day before.
