University of Hiroshima. Summer School — for the fifth time

OSU students took part in Summer Scientific School of Hiroshima University for the fifth time.

This year five students of Orenburg State University Faculty of Physics undertook an internship at Hiroshima University.

Vitaly Berdinsky, Head of OSU Department of Biophysics and Condensed Matter Physics, pointed out that regular students participation in the Summer School was made possible thanks to Takiyuki Ebata, a Professor from Hiroshima University, OSU Honorary Professor.

This year the event was sponsored by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO). The application for the grant was submitted together with OSU Japan Information Center.

The students had lectures in English on physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, geology, and the Japanese language. On the excursions to the laboratories, they saw the equipment they have never seen before. The physicists learned what tasks the Japanese scientists are working out and what experiments they set up.
