The participants discussed the issues of studying and preserving historical monuments of cultural heritage in the border regions of Russia and Kazakhstan. For example, there are characteristic tamgas (family coat of arms) of Chingizids on kulpytas (ancient Kazakh tombstones) in the Orenburg region.

But its often impossible to find out who exactly is buried under them because of lack of qualified specialists capable of translating ancient inscriptions in the region. Colleagues from neighboring Kazakhstan can help in solving this problem. In its turn, old Orthodox churches, Pugachev’s house, Chapaev’s headquarters, Pushkin museum, Sholokhov museum and many other not only Russian historical monuments have been culturally and spirituality valuable preserved on the territory of the Western Kazakhstan, in Uralskš— the old center of the Cossack armyš— and adjacent settlements.
