A manager’s job becomes more accessible for international high school students

On June 3, OSU held an international high school students olympiad “A manager’s job” for international students from different countries.

The event aims to develop creativity and interest to scientific researches in economics and to support and assist gifted children support in career guidance. Students of 11 grades who had demonstrated high scores in school olympiads on economics and management were traditionally invited to participate.

OSU Management Department organizes the olympiad every year. This year Sergei Semenov, Prorector for Social and Educational Affairs, members from Social and Educational Work Department, specialists from Information Educational Technology Department, and Liudmila Dokashenko, Director of Department of International Cooperation and Education Development actively supported the initiative. The second stage, as well as the first, was held online in a single round. 74 high school students from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan participated in the contest for foreign citizens. The winners of the olympiad were selected by the organizing committee on the results of completed tasks and total score. The winners are the students from Gaudeamus Education Center in Kazakhstan: Timur Baimukanov — 1st place, Sultan Sigizov — 2nd place, and Stanislav Zabrodin — 3rd place. The students will be awarded with diplomas.

The winners will also get 5 extra points to their Unified State Exam results, if they apply to enter OSU.
