Cooperation with Hiroshima University, Japan

The partnership agreement between Orenburg State University and Graduate School of Science of Hiroshima University was signed in June, 2006. It provides the establishment of scientific and academic exchange to strengthen the relationship between two countries and universities. Moreover, the context of the agreement reflects the mutual interest of both countries to develop the study by educational and scientific cooperation. The realization of mutual scientific research and projects is planned in the sphere of science, including physics of magnetic phenomena and nanotechnology.

13–17 September, 2010 — visit of Hiroshima University delegation, with the president Toshimasa Asahara,the partnership agreement between Orenburg State University and Hiroshima University was signed. New agreement extends the spheres of the cooperation between OSU and Hiroshima University and provides students and teachers exchange, realization of mutual researches in science, technology and humanities, organization of scientific conferences and art exhibitions.

Hiroshima University Study Abroad program for foreign students

As a sign of friendship the president of Hiroshima University Toshimasa Asahara presented sakura seedlings to OSU. 24 April, 2012 — The alley with unique for our climate sakura seedlings was laid in OSU Botanic garden, that blooms every year with wonderful flowers.

In April 2016 OSU rector Zh. Ermakova visited Hiroshima University. A new cooperation agreement between OSU and Hiroshima University was signed. Zh. Ermakova made the presentations about OSU University and new OSU project Summer School for Japanese students. OSU rector Zh. Ermakova and the President of Hiroshima University Mitsuo Ochi planted the mountain ash as a symbol of friendship in the alley of Hiroshima University.
